Need Martide Support? Here's How to Get It

Eve Jones

Whether you’re a shipowner, ship manager or manning agent using Martide’s platform to recruit for your vacant seafarer jobs, or you’re a seaman who searches for the latest vacancies using our maritime crewing board, our goal is to make life as easy as possible for you. We’ve designed our platform, website and mobile app to be as user friendly as it can be but we’ve also made it easy to find answers if you do have any issues or questions.

How you can get support from Martide

Of course, we’re always happy to hear from you and you can find our contact details on our website if you need to email us. But you can also get in touch with us quickly and easily in a number of other different ways.

Support on social media for shipowners, manning agents and seafarers

For example, you could send us a direct message through one of our social media accounts. We try and respond as quickly as possible through Facebook - both to comments and in Messenger. We’re available too through Twitter DMs - or Direct Messages - as well as on LinkedIn.

Why not follow and like us on any or all of those websites so that it’s easy to get in touch when you need us!?

One thing we will just say is that although we do respond to all messages and comments on any social media site as quickly as we can, please bear in mind that we might not be in the same time zone as you, so please do allow for that!

Martide’s dedicated support website

Did you know that we’ve also created a dedicated website that offers support and guidance to anyone who uses the Martide platform?

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a shipping company, a manning agent, or a seaman using our job vacancy crewing board, this site has been designed to help you navigate your way through every part of our website and app.

For example, if you’re a shipowner or ship manager and you’ve come a little unstuck while you’re creating a new opening for one of your vacant seafarer jobs, you could take a look at the page called How to Create a Job Vacancy.

Maybe you’re a manning agent who wants to check up on what stage your candidates are at during the maritime recruitment process - but you’ve forgotten how. The How to Track Candidates page should solve that particular problem!

Or maybe you’re a chief engineer, deck cadet or one of the other seafarer ranks who uses Martide to find contracts and stay in touch with potential employers and manning agents. You want to line up your next contract - but you want to make 100% sure you’re doing everything correctly.

That’s not a problem.

Just check out the How to Find and Apply for Jobs page and it will all be plain sailing (pun very much intended!) within a minute or two.

The Suggest a Feature function

As we said at the start of this blog post, we genuinely do love to hear from you which is why we’ve also created the Suggest a Feature function on our website. This is available for employers and manning agents and when clicked on will open up an email so you can get in touch with us and send us your thoughts.

This means that if something’s not working as well as you think it should, or if you can think of a way to improve a function you can let us know, quickly and easily.

In fact - and this is a true story - a manning agent contacted us very recently as they were having trouble locating a certain feature regarding adding new vessels to our system. We explained how to do just that. And we also updated our support website to include the instructions. We really do listen to your feedback!

And the Suggest a Feature function doesn’t have to be about problems: you could really take it at face value and tell us about a feature that you think would make Martide work better for you.

We’ll carefully consider all suggestions and if it’s something we can implement and that we agree will make everyone’s life easier, you might just see your idea come to life next time you log on! It’s been done before and we’re sure it will be done again!
