Seafarer profiles contain uploaded versions of the documents they need to hold. When these documents are uploaded into the system an expiry date must be specified.

How to check a seafarer's documents

To check a seafarer's documents log into your Martide account and click on Documents in the header bar:

This will take you to the Documents page:

Here you can:

  • See all your seafarers and their documents.
  • Check which documents are valid, which are due to expire and which have already expired. (More on that below.)
  • Use the Search bar at the top to search for a seafarer’s first or last name, a document type, or a status (valid, expired).

How to tell the validity of a document

All documents will be displayed and marked with either a green tick (valid), a red cross (expired) or a yellow exclamation point (expiring in 6 months or less).

You can see in our example above that all of the documents have expired. Meanwhile in the example below, the first document is about to expire, while the second is still valid:

Where to upload new documents

To check or edit a candidate's full profile, click on their first or last name and you'll be taken to their candidate profile page where you can upload new documents and amend expiry dates.
