Vessels - Vessel Details Tab
When you add a new vessel to Martide or edit an existing one you will go to that vessel’s profile page. In the profile are a number of different tabs:
On each tab you will always see the vessel’s profile icon, its status (Active or Archived), the vessel’s email and satellite phone number, and the relevant contacts: Crew Operator, Technical Superintendent, Designated Person Ashore, Procurement Officer, and Vessel Operator.
On the Vessels Details tab, scroll down the page and you will see different sections. These are:
- Vessel Details: The vessel’s name, IMO, number of TEU and MMSI number. These details are visible to other companies. Click the pen icon in the corner to edit them.
- Vessel Contacts: The names of the Crew Operator, Technical Superintendent, Designated Person Ashore, Procurement Officer, Vessel Operator and Payroll Officer, and the vessel’s email and satellite phone number. Click the pen icon in the corner to edit them.
- Vessel Login: The vessel’s login email address and password. Find out how to set these here. Click the pen icon in the corner to set or edit them.
- Emergency Contact: The name and contact information for the vessel’s emergency contact. Click the pen icon in the corner to edit it.
- Wage Scales: The Wage Scales that have been created for your vessel. Click on thescale to edit it. Wage Scales must be first set under Settings > Wage Scales. Find out how to add Wage Scales here.
- Contract Document Assembly: These are the Document Assembly Templates used to create a contract for your vessel. Click on acontract to go to the Document Assembly Templates page. Templates are created in Settings > Document Assembly Templates. Learn more about Document Assembly Templates here and about Document Assembly Tags here.
- Vessel Specifications: The vessel type, flag, trading pattern, call sign, ECDIS, year built, special equipment and cargo. These details are visible to other companies. Click the pen icon in the corner to edit them.
- Vessel Information: This includes everything from the vessel’s size and tonnage to the number of decks, P&I Club, place of build, and more. These details are visible to other companies. Click the pen icon in the corner to edit them.
- Engine Specifications: The engine type, maker, KW and stroke. Click the pen icon in the corner to edit them.
- Vessel Dimensions: The length, width, draught and DWT. Click the pen icon in the corner to edit them.
- Vessel Position: The latitude and longitude, speed, where the vessel is heading, the course, and AIS data source. These details are visible to other companies. Click the pen icon in the corner to edit them.
- Previous Vessel Names: Any other names your vessel has been called. These details are visible to other companies. Click the Add Previous Name button to add names and dates.
- Previous Clients: Any other Vessel Managers that your vessel has been owned/managed by. Click the Add Previous Client button to add names and dates.
- Clients: The company name, type, management start and end dates, and address. Click the pen icon in the corner to edit them.
- Documents: Your vessel’s documents plus their name, type, number, start and end dates, and country. Click the blue arrow to download a document, click the pen icon to edit information and upload documents, and click the Add Document button to add a new document and its info.
- Billing Details: Your vessel’s billing details. Select details from the drop-down menu.
- Custom Fields: Add Vessel Custom Fields if you want to add specific information about this vessel to its profile. These must first be added under Settings > Custom Vessel Fields.
