Alpha Pacific Navigation Ltd. is a Seafarer Recruitment and Placement Service established in 1992. They arrange for Pacific Island seafarers to work as crew members of international commercial ships.

From their headquarters in Lautoka in the Fiji Islands, the company links to representatives in many other countries in the Pacific Islands, to ensure a diversity of skilled men and women seafarers in their crew pool.

Alpha Pacific are government licensed, operating in accordance with the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 and other industry standards. They are a member of the Fiji Commerce and Employers’ Federation.

They are a small team of professionals working under the guidance of managing director, Captain John Hensford, who has deep experience at sea and in the management of ports, shipping companies and crewing agencies. The team includes members experienced in the fields of aviation and logistics.

The shipping companies with which they work are industry leaders. They have very high standards of safety and commercial performance. They expect their seafarers to be highly competent, with exemplary behaviour and dedication to duty. These are characteristics in which Alpha’s Pacific Island seafarers excel.

They work hard to understand the specific needs of their shipping company clients and for seafarers have a strict selection process designed to meet those needs. They select and plan crew changes to meet the needs in the most cost-effective way.

Alpha Pacific encourages a culture among their seafarers that ensures they are safety conscious and focused on the employer’s commercial obligations. This will help their shipping company clients continue their business, whilst providing long-term employment for their seafarers.
