Martide’s partners are seeking talented and experienced chefs to join their culinary teams aboard various merchant vessels and passenger, or cruise ships. This role is essential in delivering high-quality meals for crew members, passengers, and VIP guests (where applicable) while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation.

Key responsibilities generally include:

• Plan, prepare, and cook daily meals for crew and passengers, ensuring variety, taste, and presentation.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion control, and menu rotation to reduce waste and optimize ingredient use.
• Ensure all food preparation, handling, and storage complies with international health and safety regulations.
• Cater to dietary restrictions and special requests, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly meals.
• Oversee kitchen operations, including food prep, cleaning, and sanitization of workstations and equipment.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels, conducting inventory checks and placing orders as needed.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, galley stewards, and service teams to maintain efficient meal service.
• Support kitchen inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with maritime health and safety standards.
