Martide’s partners are seeking reliable and proactive individuals to fill Marine Superintendent vacancies. This role is essential in providing operational, technical, and logistical support to vessels while they are in port or at sea. Marine Superintendents work closely with ship crews, port authorities, and management teams to ensure smooth vessel operations, timely turnaround, and regulatory compliance. Key areas of responsibility include crew support, supply chain coordination, maintenance planning, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance.

Key responsibilities generally include:

• Oversee the operational performance, safety compliance, and seaworthiness of assigned vessels within the fleet.
• Act as the primary shore-based contact for Masters and Chief Engineers, providing support for technical, navigational, and crewing matters.
• Conduct regular vessel inspections and audits to ensure adherence to international maritime regulations (ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS) and company standards.
• Monitor and manage the implementation of planned maintenance systems, dry-docking schedules, and repair work.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and ensure follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Liaise with classification societies, flag states, port authorities, and other regulatory bodies during inspections or compliance reviews.
• Support budget planning and control for vessel operations, maintenance, and technical procurement.
• Review voyage reports, fuel consumption, and operational logs to optimize performance and identify trends or inefficiencies.
• Coordinate crew training and competency assessments in conjunction with the crewing department.
• Provide emergency response guidance and participate in contingency planning and drills as part of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
