From the outset SAROST provided ship owning services, chartering of vessels. Today SAROST operates its own fleet of vessels (PSV, AHTSV, FRC & work boat, FSO), in addition to managing chartered vessels, maintaining internationally recognized standards of safety and security.
SAROST developed other complementary services to meet the demands of companies operating in the energy sector, both on-shore and off-shore. In 1984, SAROST developed its diving and subsea capabilities, comprising a professional team of highly trained divers to which 10 years ago we added an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) pilots team and a fleet of ROVs capable of accomplishing a wide range of subsea works.
Added to that, SAROST proved a recognized expertise in Geosciences and Marine Engineering by providing professional consultancy services using the most recent technology developments in the following spheres: Seabed surveys, including multibeam surveys and GIS for optimization of cables and pipes routes, Environmental Baseline survey (EBS) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Metocean studies and hydrodynamical monitoring, Assessment of environmental loads on offshore structures, modeling of hydrodynamical processes with application for coastal erosion and water quality (including oil-spill)
SAROST offers a logistics and supply base services aimed at providing an integrated supply and procurement service to its clients. SAROST supply warehouse and storage facilities with over 62,500 m2 of yard space strategically located close to the key ports and transport network in Tunisia and through its affiliate company GPS, active hubs in Libya, Iraq; morocco and Gabon.
SAROST capitalize its knowledge and proven experience in the field of offshore services by providing offshore project and facilities management services on EPCM contract bases.
SAROST invested heavily in the training of its personnel and in the establishment of rigorous Health, Safety and Security procedures. Because of its highly qualified, competent and dedicated people, SAROST has established a strong image as a reliable, professional service provider that achieves the highest performance standards. SAROST is a member of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA). It is certified by ISM, ISPS and Bureau Veritas for its vessel activities and by ABS, Bureau Veritas, Germanisher Lloyd and RINA for its underwater survey activities.
SAROST is certified to ISO 9001 – 2008 by SGS with accreditation from COFRAC and UKAS.
