About the Role

As part of our onboard spa team, you will provide professional nail services while contributing to the overall guest experience and success of the spa operation. This is a dynamic and hands-on role where every team member contributes to all aspects of the spa operation, guest journey, and team culture.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing professional manicure and pedicure services for both women and men

• Providing spa manicures and spa pedicures, including nail and cuticle care, callus reduction, and overall hand and foot care

• Applying gel polish and performing gel extensions

• Safely maintaining, repairing, and removing a variety of nail enhancement systems and techniques

• Conducting professional guest consultations and recommending suitable services based on guest needs

• Supporting daily Spa Reception operations, including bookings and guest assistance

• Hosting and participating in onboard wellness activities, events, and concept experiences such as Nordic Nights and wellness workshops

• Providing exceptional guest service and creating memorable guest experiences

• Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and professionalism

• Creating a welcoming and positive spa environment onboard

• Supporting colleagues and contributing to a strong team culture across all spa operations

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a similar role

• Diploma or certification from a recognized Nail Technology Academy or equivalent qualification

• Experience working in a high-end nail salon, spa, or luxury hospitality environment

• Strong technical skills in manicure, pedicure, gel polish, gel extensions, and nail care treatments

• Experience safely maintaining, repairing, and removing a variety of nail enhancement systems and techniques

• Excellent consultation and guest service skills • Fluent in spoken and written English

• A positive, energetic, and team-oriented personality

• The ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment

• A genuine passion for nail care, hospitality, and people

• Previous experience working in English-speaking salon, spa, or hospitality environments

Preferred Qualifications

One or more of the following qualifications are highly valued:

• Internationally recognized nail technology education or certification

• Anatomy and Physiology studies or certification

• Additional certifications from recognized professional nail care brands and training providers (such as CalGel, CND, OPI, Gelish, Bio Sculpture, or similar)

Additional skills and experiences that are considered a plus:

• Previous cruise ship experience

• Experience working in international salon or spa environments

• Experience within luxury hospitality, 4- or 5-star hotels, or high-end spas

• Valid STCW certificates

• Experience hosting workshops, seminars, or guest activities

• Knowledge of wellness and holistic guest care concepts
