Document Types

Document Types allows you to rename documents in Martide to something that makes more sense for your company.

For example, we have a document called ‘2nd Engineer’ but you might want to call it 'Second Engineer'.

When you change a name in Document Types that document will be renamed everywhere in the system for your company.

How to use Document Types

Log into your Martide account and click Settings in the drop down menu under your profile picture then on Document Types:

  • List the documents in reverse by clicking the arrow next to Original Name.
  • See the documents’ Original Name, Display Name, Category and Slug.
  • Search for a document using the search bar at the top.

We hope you find this feature useful. Did you know that you can do the same thing with seafarer ranks in Martide’s system?

Find out how to change them to the rank abbreviations you use in your company here in our guide to the Ranks page.
