Visas

In Martide you’ll find a feature called Visas. This allows you to manage the types of visa needed for a particular seafarer job and set exceptions  for certain visas.  

In the system, a required visa type can be covered by a specific passport. For example, if a position requires a tourist visa for Saudi Arabia, this is covered automatically by a United Kingdom passport. Therefore, you can tell the system that the passport covers the visa requirements. 

Here’s how to use the Visas page

Log into your Martide account and click Settings under your profile icon in the top right corner, then click on Visas

You will see this page:

Here you can: 

  • Add a new visa 
  • Sort your visas alphabetically or numerically by clicking the arrows next to Visa Country and Visa Types. 
  • Edit and delete existing Visa Types. 

How to add a new Visa Type 

Click the Add Visa button in the top left-hand corner. You will see this:

To add your visa and the passport that acts as an exception, choose the relevant options from the drop down menus. For example:

Click Save when you’ve finished and your entry will appear on the main page:
