My Profile
This is a guide to creating your seafarer profile so that you can quickly and easily apply for Martide's jobs at sea.
Where to find your seafarer profile
To get started, log in to your Martide account.
The first page you see will be your My Jobs page. Click on My Profile in the menu on the left:

That will take you to your profile page. It looks like this:

The different sections in your User Profile
Your profile page is broken down into sections:

Most of these sections are automatically filled in by the employer or manning agent. Some sections let you add information to them. You can also download documents from some of them. Below is an explanation of each section.
Overview
This section shows your personal details and also your last seafarer job. You can edit your personal information. To do this click the 3 dots in the right hand corner of the section and then Edit. You can also download your photo:

Work Summary
This section is automatically filled in. You do not need to do anything. It shows the ranks you have held, vessel types you have worked on, and the engines you have experience with (if any.)
Employment
This section is automatically filled in. You do not need to do anything. It shows the ranks you have held vessel names you have worked on, the dates of the contract, the employer, the manning agent and the current status (hired, rejected etc.)
Work Experience
This section shows the ranks you have held vessel names you have worked on, the dates of the contract, the vessel types you have worked on including DWT and engine, the ship manager and the manning agent
Education
This section shows the school you went to, field of study, the degree, and start and graduation dates.
Contacts
This section shows your home address and phone number.
Special Skills
This section shows your skills that set you apart from other people looking for seafarer jobs such as the equipment you have worked with.
Physical Specifications
This section shows your height, weight, shoe, collar cap and overalls sizes, blood type and eye and hair colour.
Emergency Contacts
This section shows your emergency contact's name, relationship to you, address and phone number.
Next of Kin
This section shows your next of kin's name, relationship to you, address and phone number.
Preferences
This section shows your availability date, preferred vessel type, DWT and engine, your salary expectations and your preferred contract length. To change any of this information click the pen icon. This will open a pop-up box where you can make any changes.

Language
This shows the languages you can speak and your proficiency in them. To add a language or to change your level of proficiency, click the Add Language button. To delete a language, for example if you have forgotten how to speak it, click the trash can icon next to it.

When you click Add Language, you will see this pop up box where you can select languages and your level:

Bank Account
Here you can see your bank name, account number, beneficiary name, IBAN, BIC, and payment split. You can add more than one bank account. To add a new account click the Add Bank Account button. To edit an existing bank account click the pen icon:

We know you might not want all your salary paid into the same bank account so you can also add a percentage of how much to pay into one account, and then add details for other accounts.
Medical Examinations
This section is automatically filled in. You do not need to do anything. It shows your medic exams, document number, country and date of issue, date of expiry and the vessel/contract is refers to.
You can download a copy of the documents by clicking the blue down arrow. You can also see who else can see this info by hovering your mouse over the padlock icon.

Vaccinations
This section is automatically filled in. You do not need to do anything. It shows your type of vaccination, number, brand, country and date of issue, and date of expiry.

Visas
This section shows your type of visa, number, country and date of issues and the expiry date.
You can download a copy of the documents by clicking the blue down arrow.

Assessments
This section is automatically filled in. You do not need to do anything. It shows your type of assessment, total score, and the vessel/contract it refers to.
You can download a copy of the documents by clicking the blue down arrow. You can also see who else can see this info by hovering your mouse over the padlock icon.

Certificates
This section shows your type of certificate, number, country and date of issues and the expiry date.
You can download a copy of the documents by clicking the blue down arrow.
Training
This section is automatically filled in. You do not need to do anything. It shows your type of training, number, country and date of issues and the expiry date.
You can download a copy of the documents by clicking the blue down arrow.
Licenses
This section shows your type of license, number, country and date of issues and the expiry date.
You can download a copy of the documents by clicking the blue down arrow.
Travel
This section shows your type of document (passport, seaman's book etc.), number, country and date of issues and the expiry date.
You can download a copy of the documents by clicking the blue down arrow.

Endorsements
This section is automatically filled in. You do not need to do anything. It shows your type of endorsement, number, country and date of issues and the expiry date.

Custom Documents
This section is automatically filled in. You do not need to do anything. It shows your type of document, number, country and date of issues and the expiry date.
You can download a copy of the documents by clicking the blue down arrow.
Employment Contracts
This section is automatically filled in. You do not need to do anything. It shows the vessel name, your rank, type of contract, effective from, start date, length and salary.
You can download a copy of the documents by clicking the blue down arrow.
Payslips
This section is automatically filled in. You do not need to do anything. It shows the vessel name, your rank, contract dates and the assignment/vessel

Appraisals
This section is automatically filled in. You do not need to do anything. It shows the document type and report date.

How to print out your profile / seafarer resume
You can print out a Word version of all the information in your User Profile in a seafarer resume format. This is useful if you want to give your CV to employers or manning agents. Here's how to do it:

- Click the arrow icon at the top of the screen (see image above.)
- Then click Full CV in the drop down menu. (See above.)
- A Word document will be downloaded onto your computer.
- The document contains all the info from your Martide profile in a CV / resume format:

A few notes about your User Profile
- Entering much of the above information is mandatory but you don't have to enter some information such as your social media accounts.
- The information you enter in your profile helps you apply for jobs quickly and easily - once completed you won’t have to fill out all your details every time you apply for a vacancy.
